11 : Mount St. Joseph Academy Golf Tournament
Mount St. Joseph Academy will sponsor its annual spring
golf tournament at the Proctor-Pittsford Country Club. Golf format will
be a scramble with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Entry fee is $40 per person

12 : Road to the Pogue
This is the first ever Road to the Pogue race for runners
of all ages. Only 400 people will be able to participate in this exciting
event held on the carriage roads of Mount Tom in Woodstock. The 6.7 mile
course is described as challenging but beautiful and is located on the grounds
of the Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historical Park.

13 : Mother's Day Stroller Run
The Mother's Day Stroller Run 5k is a family event held
in Rutland which is co-sponsored by College of St. Joseph. Stroller teams
will run for prizes. The race benefits the Rutland County Women's Network

18-20 : Annie Jr.
Rutland Youth Theatre Presents Annie Jr. Based on the
popular comic strip, Annie Junior is a lively musical that tells of a spunky
Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her
years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel

Open Studio Weekend is an annual statewide celebration
of the visual arts and the creative process in which Vermont artists and

26 : Civil War Encampment
Company D, 1st Vermont Cavalry, will tether their horses
and set up camp with demonstrations of living history and Civil War soldier
life in Woodstock. The Company will also participate in the Memorial Day

15-17 : Jeep Jamboree
The Jeep Jamboree is an off-road adventure weekend that
brings together the outdoors, down-to-earth people and their Jeep 4x4’s.
Killington is proud to be involved with the Jeep Jamboree weekend for the
first time in 2007. Hundreds of Jeep owners will converge on the Killington
Grand Resort Hotel and the Killington Region to enjoy a weekend of four
wheeling on Killington and Pico mountains. The event is sold out for this
year so start planning for next year early to make sure you get a spot.
16 : Relay for Life
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is held at
Rutland High School track, registration starts at 11 a.m., come join the
fun. Walk a lap or two and raise money to help in the fight against cancer,

The 3rd Annual Vermont Comedy Works, a comedy festival
in the heart of the Green Mountains. The festival includes Humor U, a three

The day will kick off with a parade at 10:00 a.m. The
day will continue with food, games, swimming & silent auction at the
Johnson Recreation Center on River Road in Killington. Fireworks at 9:30pm!
4 : Old Vermont 4th
Join Billings Farm & Museum in Woodstock for
an Old Vermont 4th at. A family celebration featuring the reading of the
Declaration of Independence at noon, historic debates, hors-drawn wagon
rides, making 1890 flags, Presidential silhouettes, Uncle Sam bookmarks,
spelling bee, ice cream making, and the egg toss.
4-5 : Kayak Demo Days
Join Base Camp Outfitters for free kayak demos.
The launch site is Kent Pond’s Half Moon Cove on Thundering Brook
Road in Killington. Lessons and tons of free advice will be available.
7 : Killington Music Festival
The Killington Music Festival presents “Joys
and Sorrows” featuring the music of Robert Schumann which includes
Piano Quartet and Piano Trio in D minor. Music starts at 7:00 p.m. at the

7-8 : Battle of Hubbardton Re-enactment
Battle of Hubbardton 230th Anniversary Revolutionary
War Encampment featuring activities for the whole family. Re-enactors portray
the soldiers who fought here, tactical military demonstrations, drilling
lessons, guided camp and battlefield tours, courts martial, camp life activities,
history scavenger hunt, special music, shopping on sutler’s row, and
on Saturday a guided candlelight camp tour at 7:00 PM, and a memorial service
at 8:00 PM. Battle reenactment Sunday morning, followed by symbolic relay
to send news about the battle to the Old Constitution House in Windsor.

For twenty-three years, Jazz Vermont has been
gathering musicians from all over the world to spend a week rehearsing,
playing, and performing the great charts of Basie, Ellington, Kenton the

and Mark Van Cleave.
This year's edition will hold it's final performance at the Killington Grand

Killington is proud to host stop No. 4 on the
Granny Gear Productions 24 Hour National Point Series of events featuring
22 pro and amateur categories for all ages and abilities. Experience the
excitement of racing on a team or as an individual through the night on
the classic singletrack and double track trails at Killington Resort. Start/Finish,
event expo, food and festivities will be located at the Snowshed Lodge.
Camping and hotel/condominium lodging will be located near the start finish
area. In addition, reasonably-priced delicious food offerings, loaded with
energizing protein and carbohydrates, and beverages, will be available at

10-12 : Vermont International Reggae Music Festival
The Vermont International Reggae Music Festival will
be held August 10 – 12 2007 in Rutland, Vermont. The venue is held
on a magnificent 500 acre farm with camping and a skateboard exhibition/competition.
In the past, reggae festivals in Vermont have attracted 15,000 people. For

18 : Vermont 100 on 100
The 100 on 100 is a 100 mile, six person relay running
race run through the lush mountains, fields and streams of Vermont. Proceeds
from the race will benefit The Boys and Girls Clubs in Vermont. Each runner
will run three times over the 100 mile distance with a total distance per
runner of approximately 16.5 miles. The race will pass through the Skyeship

24-26 : Killington Film Festival
The Killington Film Festival is an exciting addition
to the Killington Region’s summer event calendar. The weekend will
feature three nights of short and feature length films by both New England
and Vermont filmmakers. Included in the lineup are Vermont favorites, John
O’Brien, screening “A Man With A Plan”, Jay Craven with
his film “Disappearances”, Zach Niles and his documentary “Refugee
All Stars” and Rutland, Vermont’s David Giancola who will be
screening his new film, “Illegal Alien” starring Anna Nicole
Smith. The event is accepting submissions for two short film competitions.

2 : Ultimate Green Mountain Adventure Race
The Ultimate Green Mountain Adventure Race returns to
the Killington region for the sixth straight year. This 12 hour adventure
race promises a fun and challenging weekend for all involved and will include
road running, trail running, mountain biking, road biking, paddling, fixed
ropes and land navigation. Proceeds go support the Ultimate Sports Association
Inc. USA Inc. a not for profit corporation dedicated to providing support
to young athletes and volunteer coaches.
5-9 : Killington Classic Motorcycle Touring Rally
Head to Killington for the Annual Killington Classic
Motorcycle Touring Rally. This event is a family oriented motorcycle show
featuring a parade to Rutland, scenic rides, fireworks and more. Get your

16 : IDIC 15 5K Run/Walk
The 5K race is open to runners and walkers of all ages
and abilities. The start/finish area is at the Killington Recreation Field
on River Road. The course is a flat and fast 5k with prizes in eight age
groups.
Proceeds from this race will be donated to IDEAS. IDEAS is a non-profit
organization dedicated to providing family support, raising awareness and
fostering research into Isodicentric 15 (a chromosome abnormality) and related
disorders.

21 : Killington Brewfest
The 12th Annual Killington Brewfest is back for another
exciting year! At the Brewfest guests will find a variety of microbreweries
and craft breweries from Vermont and New England which will each have on
hand a few of their top choice ales, pilsners, stouts, and hand-crafted
lagers, for beer enthusiasts to sample.
Admission includes: a souvenir pint glass, four beer sampling tickets, and
live entertainment. Additional beer tickets will be available for $1. For
those designated drivers and people who choose not to sample beer, the cost
is $5 (purchase tickets at the door) and you will still be able to enjoy
the entertainment. |

6 : Downtown Rutland's Chili Challenge
Last year over 500 people enjoyed a fall afternoon in
Center Street Alley tasting Chili prepared by groups, individuals and restaurant
professionals and voting for their favorite in conjunction with our Annual
Harvest Days. This year's event will be held on Center Street. Center Street
will be closed to traffic so tourists and locals alike can enjoy an afternoon
of chili tasting, live entertainment by Thunder Road Band, the Farmer’s
